I love sweets. I’ve had an incurable sweet tooth since I was a kid. And so when I find something I love I’m likely to say…SA-WEET!!! Like NO KIDDING!

I’ve been saying it a lot the last few weeks since reading The Big Shift by Marc Freedman. Here’s why…

I found out that what I’ve been coaching about for the past 10 years has a name. Who knew?

It’s called an Encore Career.  SA-WEET! Like NO KIDDING! Even the video I created last year alludes to it – I just didn’t know about the terminology used in the book. (You can watch the video to the left of this post.)

I found out that the components of an Encore Career are what I’ve been talking about all along!

• Finding your joy in work that lights you up and gives you a reason to jump happily out of bed every day. (Passion)
• Doing work based on what you love fulfills you and serves and blesses others. It gives you and them a GREAT experience. (Purpose)
• Getting paid to do what you love is the gravy. (A Paycheck)

SA-WEET! Like NO KIDDING!

I found out that when Passion, Purpose, and a Paycheck® come together, it’s called convergence.

I call it the SA-WEET spot.
